My visit to the Cooper Hewitt museum was a great experience. I have been to museums, but none like this one. And sure, every museum is unique in its own way, however this one has been the most interesting by far. The pens they have to record everything you see is amazing, I got to record my whole visit without having to take any pictures with my phone. Their type of art is a mix of graphic with industrial design. The best of all is that I can go anytime I want being a cuny student, which I will sure take advantage of.
A chromogenic print mounted on 3mm dibond. These are hairstyles inspired by history, art, music, and street style. It really caught my attention when I saw this because it is different, kind of scary looking but interesting to see.
I fell in love with their pixar exhibit, I will definitely take my little cousins here.
“Sou Fujimoto Architects employs geometric structure to create delicate, complex spaces.”
So complicated but so beautiful. It kind of looks like a puzzle.
“Vlisco specializes in Dutch wax prints, the brightly colored, elaborately patterned cotton textiles popular in West and Central Africa”
A dress made with Textiles. When I stepped into this exhibit I couldn’t stop staring at the dresses.
These are 3-D printed and they are built up from tubes of molten glass.
Overall my visit to the Cooper Hewitt was amazing, and I will definitely visit again soon.
