Case Study # 2
Mr. R is a 40-year-old Caucasian male who decided to take matters into his own hands and come to the Dental Care Clinic “to take care of his mouth because his 3-year-old daughter said his mouth stinks.” The patient was highly motivated to follow through with a comprehensive dental treatment plan after he did not follow up with his dentist’s recommendations on restoring caries and extracting severely damaged teeth.
He is also a chronic smoker, smoking 5-6 cigarettes a day for the past 20 years!
Based on clinical assessments and radiographs, he was diagnosed with Stage II, Grade C Periodontitis.
