I am representing Millennium Hilton hotel for this project. The development of 9/11 memorial sight started in 2006 and open to public on 09/12/11. The main purpose of memorial is to remember every individual who lost their lives in the tragic terror and honor the ones who survived an overcome the darkest day. The downtown area has many attraction for tourist such as 9/11 memorial, museum, World trade observatory, Oculus, shopping malls, restaurants and bars and many more.
The downtown has been one of the main tourist attraction in New York City. The 9/11 memorial has two man made water fall that comprise the foot print of twin tower. The name of every victims is inscribed on the parapets surrounding the waterfall. The 9/11 museum has a remaining iron of twin tower and recording of phone call from first responder. The One world trade center has an observatory, where you get a 360 Degree view of New York City, Statue of Liberty, Five borough of NYC, from 100th Floor. They have a new attraction named as The Oculus, which has unique architecture and has several retail stores including dinning areas. It has subline, that connect you to 11 subways. Next would be Brookfield place, which has European style market place, dinning terrace with the view of Hudson river and office building. The other attraction would be battery park, where you can take a ferry to Staten Island for absolute No cost and enjoy the ride along Statue of Liberty. The Famous Brooklyn Bridge is in walking distance and explore the Dumbo.
If anyone is planning to make a trip with your family this summer break, Downtown New York City would be one of place that you should visit. Especially if you have kids, exploring this area will give them so much knowledge and information about the history. Just visiting the memorial area will give you so much hope and positivity, despite of the terror that took place that cost the lives of so many innocent people. Now this area has become the Tourist attraction because of the twin tower water fall, the Oculus, The One world trade center and still has lot more to explore.
