Here is a sketch from last weekend up at the Cloisters in Fort Tryon Park. The court, conceived as an oasis and perhaps based on a utopian vision, has a noticeable impact on the visitors. A sense of pleasure or happiness permeates the air, smiles on everyone’s face. Order and peace prevail.
Our first venture in sketching together took place at Grand Central. I will be setting up a map and schedule for the fall semester so stay tuned…
