Disclaimer: Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, this is the only information I have access to for cases and patients I treated at the NYCCT clinic.

Leukoplakia

All information pertaining to this pt is in the case presentation assignment, attached above. This pt has regular biopsies every 1-2 years per the dentist’s recommendation.  The pt is always given a referral for a follow-up with the dentist when seen at the NYCCT clinic for recalls.

Case-Study #2

Internal Resorption #7/ Fistula and PAP #11 with Radiographs on the same pt.

This pt is geriatric and wears a partial denture that evidently causes irritation to the soft tissue, and has an impact on the hard tissue as well due to plaque retention.  Proper OHI was provided to the patient along with referrals to the dentist for the internal resorption as well as the PAP.

Case Study #3

Before/After Scaling Tartar and Betel Nut Stain

This case involved a combination of very tenacious calculus and betel nut stain removal. The entire anterior lingual surfaces were covered in deposit and stain as well as interproximally on all posteriors and involving the occlusal surfaces. This pt required administration of local anesthesia for patient comfort and multiple sessions to complete. Pt was instructed of effects of betel nut on oral tissues, and given a referral for suspicious lesions.
