‘Friendly Rivalry’ by Jonathan Prado

(Steven Clark) right Jose Oquedo (left)

This photo was taken by me at my friends (Steven) house on Friday.  What had started as just trash talk between friends over who was a better player turned into a two hour sessions of salty run backs and trash talk. I took this photo because when I first started to see the attitude in the room change and my friends start to focus 100 percent on the game it was quite entertaining to see. My friends had been so entwined by this that I had time to take this photo get a drink and sit back down without the two of them even noticing i had left. this has gone on for such a long time that when I left I originally planned to do so at 9 and ended up leaving at 11 as i too was then enthralled by what i was seeing. they had both stated as beginners and slowly with this session had picked up the mechanics of the game for more advanced plays.

Concrete Jungle

Description: Photo by Ivan Ortiz titled: “Concrete Jungle”(October 15th, 2017)

This photo was taken from my bedroom window in the Bronx at about 9a.m on a Sunday morning. I decided to take a picture of this view because during the winter, this picture would look completely different.  I would have a clearer view of the building behind the trees, I would be able to the streets and the cars.  But during the spring, summer and beginning of fall all I can see is parts of the building and all of the trees. I also decided to take the this picture because in my opinion, it’s what defines “concrete jungle” in a physical way

A start to a new beginning

Description: Luisa Guzman’s photo titled: “A start to a new beginning” (2017). In this photo that I took in my house in Brooklyn, we see a tropical looking smoothie ready to nourish one’s health. In the background you can see 3 components of the smoothie which are banana’s, kiwi’s and lemon’s. The berry looking color gives the smoothie a refreshing look. I also focused my camera making the smoothie stand out sharply against a blurred background.

A Beautiful site to remember….

This photo was taken at Empire State building when I was visiting my brother’s office at Empire State building Manhattan New York. I was amazed to see the beautiful view of New York standing on the tallest building. The architecture of the city was appealing that I have decided to take this beautiful photo. The weather was so charming and the sky was covered with beautiful grey clouds. The lake view added more charm to the beautiful architect of the city and the people could see almost all parts of the city. The view and the moment were breathtaking that it is indeed a site to remember.

“Gazing Up”

Description: Photo by Sherilyn Negron, titled: “Gazing Up”(October 11, 2017). This photo was taken at NYU Tandon School of Engineering located at 6 MetroTech Center. This snapshot was captured while I was eating my lunch. I looked up and was amazed by the architecture of the building structure. My first thought was to take a picture of it. This photo was taken in an upward angle capturing a big portion of the structure, while I was sitting on a chair. I admired the sky peeking through each square. It shows the grey cloud and just a small portion of the blue sky. I edited this image to brighten and have a clear visual of how the building looks.

“My Summer Workplace”

Description: Photo by Quincy Lewis, titled “My Summer Workplace”

This photo was taken at Sunset Park in Brooklyn. This  institute is the named the Sunset Recreation Center. This is brings me to memories of my last two years of working in this institute during the summer. This building brings me fond memories of the many tasks I had such as usher people to the pool, but mostly taking photos of many things that has a theme to it and using Adobe Photoshop to alter the photo and create animations. This place also reminds me of my relationships with my co-workers and I had many discussions with my co-workers at the front of this building whether before we take pictures or waiting for our supervisor preparing cameras for us the trips we went on.

Strawberry cup Bingsoo contains milk ice shave with mochi, strawberries and on top a scoop of strawberry ice cream with pieces of strawberries, white chocolate, a rolled wafer cookie, pieces of cheese cake, and a mint. “Waiting Impatiently”

Photo by Anna Napolitano, titled “Waiting Impatiently” (October 13, 2017). This photo was taken in Manhattan at the Whitehall Ferry Terminal. This photo was taken because I had missed the ferry to Staten Island by two minutes and was stuck waiting another 28 minutes for the next boat to arrive. This picture was taken from my point of view, while I was sitting downing looking at my dirty shoes. Although this photo lacks vibrant colors, its consists of various tones of black, white, and grey. The grey and gloomy color scheme, in this photograph, illustrates the way I was feeling after I had ran from the train to the terminal, only to find out I had just missed the ferry.

“The Lemon Ice King Of Corona”

Description: Photo by Maria Diaz, titled “The Lemon Ice King Of Corona” (October 14, 2017)

This picture was taken Saturday night. I went out for a walk with my family and passed by my favorite ice-cream shop. I took this picture while I was on which why it came out tilted. This shop brings me back so many memories. I’ve been here with family and friends. As you can see in this picture the name of the ice-cream shop is The Lemon Ice King of Corona. This shop is well known and has been around for a while. I took the time to research and found out they have been making Italian ices for over 60 years. The shop was also part of a show named “The King Of Queens”.

On My Way

Description: Photo by Rancel Sanchez. Titled “On My Way”. Taken 10/12/17. In this photo, you see the tracks on the 168th Street  A and C train station in Manhattan. I purposely  took this photo at this angle to show the length of the station.  This photo was taken near the end of the station, so the real length isn’t even shown here. In front of me, there is a group of people also waiting  for the A train.  The time I took this was at 1:13 PM, so the station wasn’t packed. The reason why I took this photo at this angle was to also symbolize the distance from home and City Tech.  I was on my way to City Tech the moment I took this photo which gave me this idea.
