This picture was taken on October 11, 2015, Sunday at Queens College Gym, located at Kissena Blvd, Flushing. This was a big event for me and my friend Jonathon Ramirez. As we can see he won a 2nd place trophy for sparring and he did his best even though it isn’t 1st place. The uniform he’s wearing represents that he’s an ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) member, especially when he is an official black belt. In the background, there is a lot of spectators and members watching and waiting for their turn to compete with other members. There is mats on the floors which is where members set foot on it to spar, and also fighting gear which is a helmet, fighting gloves and protective footwear. So basically there is a lot of activity in the background, which makes it look like some type of party due to the fact that there is a lot of people there. I took this picture because taekwondo is my hobby and Jonathon did great in the sparring match.
