What do I do on my free time? I do a lot of things on my free time, but scrolling through social media is not one of them. My favorite thing to do on my free time is playing video games, because I enjoy playing them. Some video games are challenging and competitive and some aren’t. I love competitive games because playing easy games gets boring most of the times. My favorite competitive game to play is “Call of Duty: Warzone”. The other thing I like to do on my free time is watch anime, in other words Japanese cartoon. I also like to watch horror movies, but I wouldn’t watch them by myself. I would watch scary movies whenever I would have a family gathering or whenever I go to their place. I would some times go to the park to play basketball or to play soccer with my friends as well. Another thing I love to do is to ride my bike. I ride my bike around my neighborhood sometimes and most of the time I would go the park to ride it. The park I go to has already a space for riding bikes so it doesn’t get crowded as much.

My Education Experience
If I could go back in time and give myself one piece of advice for High school, it would be to not procrastinate while doing homework or studying for an exam. This would be the advice I give because when I procrastinate I tend to spend more time on something else, and that either I forget about my homework or I would not have enough time and it would be past my bedtime. When I procrastinate I would also not remember what I studied for an exam. For this particular reason I wish I had known or followed this advice. I think if I followed this advice then I wouldn’t have fell behind on homework assignments or I wouldn’t have failed an exam because I was procrastinating while studying. I would give this piece of advice to someone who is just starting high school because he or she might have the same problem as I did, and they might procrastinate without realizing that it affects their studies like it did for me. Another advice I would give to myself would be, to be organized because back in high school I would forget where I put my homework assignments and etc.
My Experience On The Subway
I remember this like it was yesterday, it was a nice sunny day in Queens, NYC, so my family and I decided to go to Times Square for a visit to see what it is like over there. In order to get there we had to take the A-train which was closer to my house. I got really excited when my mom said that we are taking the subway train, because it was my first time taking the train. Once I went inside the train I realized something, there was a lot of diverse people on the train, like there were Hispanic, Jewish, Indian, Chinese, and many more. I also noticed that most of the people were talking in different languages and there were few speaking in English. There was one thing that had me suspicious, that there was a guy with a hoodie on, sleeping on one of the seats, so I walked away from that guy and found another seat. The best part about the train was that I got to sit next to the window so I can watch the view. Then I realized that the train was going underground, so I was just looking around and used my phone for a couple of times. At the next stop, two guys came in with a stereo and started dancing to their music, which was cool. After they left, another guy came in with a guitar, started playing “Hallelujah” by John Cale, which was familiar to me from the movie “Shrek”. Later, when he left I went back to my phone because nothing interesting happened after that. For the first time, it was really an interesting experience I had, but now I’m use to it all.

The Change In NYC Due to Coronavirus
After I heard the news about the cases of Coronavirus in NYC, I noticed that not that many people are going outside. During this pandemic, I remember when I had to get eggs and milk from the grocery store, I saw there was a lot of customers. This was when people were buying all their essential stuff, so they don’t have to go outside anytime soon. I have not seen that much people in a grocery store in a while.
As I find out about the increase in the number of cases in NYC, I then observed that less people are outside, whether it be at the grocery store or somewhere that is important. The government, Andrew Cuomo had ordered to close all gyms, casinos, and movie theaters, while restaurants can only provide takeout food.
When I found out about my favorite sports, like Basketball and Soccer games that are getting postponed or cancelled, I felt devastated. Later on, I understood that it was best for the sports community to do what is best. Also after hearing about the few NBA players who has been tested positive for the virus, I took into consideration. I realized that I have to be patient and wait for the NBA and the soccer games to continue when all this is over.
For the distance learning or the online classes, I realized that most teachers or professors been using the Zoom meeting app. I don’t know the particular reason for it, but I like it. I think this app is the best way to communicate through the face cam, so that you can see and hear whoever’s talking or participating in the activity. At first it was weird and all, but now I think I’m getting the hang of this quarantine situation.
My COrona Blog
Since the start of Coronavirus in NYC, my life has changed tremendously. At first this sudden change in the community made me feel uncomfortable, but as I watched the news everyday to learn more about this virus and how to keep yourself safe. I then started getting use to it, and understood that this change is best for everyone, because of this corona situation. The change in which I’m referring to, are the distance learning for my college classes, wearing protective mask and gloves whenever going outside, washing hands and keeping your hand sanitized more often, and last but not least staying home or going outside when it’s necessary.
When I heard the news about the first case in NYC, I didn’t care much about the situation. In the middle of March, I started to realize that a lot more people received the virus. After I got the news that all CUNY colleges and public schools are going to do distance learning or going to do online classes, that’s when I realized that this thing is serious. At first, I got excited and all for the distance learning, but as of now I’m bored staying inside for this long. Even though I get to play all my video games, watch my favorite movie or TV series, and be on my social media all day. At some point doing something for so long can get you bored.
I remember when my dad and I went to the groceries and we had our mask and gloves on. I saw there was a lot of empty shelves and there was no toilet paper, no gallon water and no food items in general. Eventually we got all the supplies that we needed to keep us home, and not having to go outside to get something.
