New freshman and transfer students are advised in the New Student Center. Advisors will answer questions you have about the academic and curricular requirements of your chosen program of study and assist you in selecting and registering for the courses you need for your first semester at City Tech. If your career interests change, advisors will offer you career options and help you change your course of study, if necessary. |

The professional counseling and student development staff can help with questions about the College, academic or personal problems or other concerns which may be interfering with your success at City Tech. Food insecurity is a high-priority concern at CUNY. You should go here if you don’t have money for food, or if you are experiencing a housing or a financial crisis. The counselling center also provides emotional/mental health counseling, group counseling, workshops, and walk-in hours. |

The curriculum includes block building, finger-painting, easel painting, cooking, theater arts, computer play, music, movement and dance. The Center provides preschool and school for children ages 2-12. The Center charges a small fee. |

Veteran Support Services |

The Veterans Support Services Office provides veteran students with information and support to promote educational success and optimal social well-being. The office also collaborates with Campus Departments, Student Government Association and Student Clubs to facilitate various veteran-related programs and events. |
Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) |

ASAP is designed to help motivated students earn their Associate degree as quickly as possible, with a goal of graduating at least 50% of students within three years or less. ASAP at New York City College of Technology (City Tech) emphasizes enriched academic, financial and personal supports including comprehensive and personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, tuition waivers, MTA MetroCards and additional financial assistance to defray the cost of textbooks. |
