Hi everyone! I’m Emily (she/her), and I’m a non-degree student taking classes to receive my teaching certification and hopefully move into a graduate degree in Math Education. Now that I actually have a City Tech email address and can post on OpenLab, I’m excited to get to know everyone!

A fun fact about me is that I moved to New York 4 years ago as a theatrical lighting designer! My larger goal in education is to work towards building a math curriculum that is more accessible to those in artistic fields and vice versa, and I’m really passionate about the importance of STEAM education as a whole. One more fun fact is that I’m a huge Survivor fan! My friends and I have watch parties every week when it’s on, and I even run a Survivor fantasy league twice a year.
