Introduction

Hello!

My name is Paul Hwang and I am graduate of New York City College of Technology with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Reflecting on the past few years one could say I have been blessed to have received a fruitful education on the biologic sciences and technical skills to become the dental hygienist I am today. I believe I have grown not only as an individual but immensely as a professional and am overjoyed to be in the position I am today.

Before pursuing an education I explored my ambivalence in career fields such as the service industry, logistics, and lastly electrical installations so unlike many of my peers and those entering the field of dental hygiene I have no work experience in the dental field. As much as I wish I did have experience I do not worry, as I believe I am able to utilize my experiences in combination with my professional training to better connect with the public, work diligently, adapt, and efficiently coordinate with team members.

I take great pleasure in serving the public and knowing that I can make a difference in people’s lives at a personal level. I believe dental hygiene is a cornerstone for health and well-being which is a motivating factor for me to better serve my community through genuine sincere connection. Often is dental care neglected and feared, my mission is to bring positivity to the profession of dentistry and awareness to the public.
