BUF 2246: Textiles
This course serves as an introduction to the complex and constantly evolving business environment that is the fashion and textiles industry today. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the various textile kinds with an emphasis on how they interact with fashion merchandisers, buyers, and retailers through an examination of the fashion wholesale and retail contexts. Students learn the fundamentals of fibers, yarns, cloth construction, finishes, and embellishments needed to assess quality and choose suitable fabrics for modern clothing and home furnishings.
