Hello dear peers and professor, I am Namkha (he/him) and I look forward to a wonderful semester with all of you. My college experience has not been colorful as I entered college only after the pandemic and college life for me has not shifted from my computer and my desk. My future educational plans are to transfer to a college where I can actually study in person and interact with my teachers and peers to exchange knowledge and experience.I decided to pursue a CUNY Online Baccalaureate Degree as because in this day and age, to living a self-sustainable life, it has become imperative to have a qualification or a degree as a mark of ones level of education. People do not see each other for what they are but for what they appear to be and how they present themselves and what degrees or qualifications they have. This is why, to try to change the way we perceive things through the new medium of technology, I have decided to pursue this degree.Basically, all of my courses were completely online. I have not attended a single college course that was in person and if I must elaborate on how that has been, I must say that I am enjoying it so far!I believe that I love to read, but in reality I never really finish what I start and this habit of mine is also exhibited during reading. I start a book with great enthusiasm and then loose interest halfway through which I am trying to get rid of, it is not a good habit to hold on to I have been told. I was born in MA, but left for Asia as a baby and came back only recently and my surroundings currently do not make me feel homesick at all as Queens, and Elmhurst in particular, is filled with all types of Asian communities. Chinese, Bhutanese, Tibetan, Nepalese, Indian and many more co-exist in a way similar to all the spices that perfectly add to the taste in a meal.
I love this photograph as I have read somewhere that the beautiful piece of art already exists in the block of wood or stone, all we must do is to sculpt it out. This is very inspiring to me because it gives me the sense of already having what is needed in me, and only requiring little effort to allow it to manifest in the way I would most like. I hope this is an inspiration to all of you who have gathered the motivation to read this introduction of a peer that you may never see again in person.
I believe that is all that I have to share about me, if you are reading this then I thank you sincerely for your time.
