  • WEEK 4: Analyze of the practices and collections of a sustainable company  (Week of 2/21/22)  Homework: Review all companies and choose your one for your blog

Module 2

  • WEEK 5:  (Week of 2/28/22)  Homework: Post Fashion Blog and comment on peer blogs
  • WEEK 6: Sustainable alternatives in Fashion (Week of 3/7/22) Homework: Review problematic issues in apparel production (dyes)
  • WEEK 7: Biosynthetic production (Week of 3/14/22)  Homework: Review Biosynthetic materials being produced by eco-conscious companies (biosynthetic materials)
  • WEEK 8: Compare/Contrast Paper (Week of 3/21/22 )  Homework: Analyze two different types of biosynthetic textile production

Module 3

  • WEEK 9: Introduction to Smart textiles (Week of 3/28/22)
  • WEEK 10:  (Week of 4/4/22)   Homework: Based on the web sites and videos you reviewed, present examples of 3 types of e-textiles (passive, active smart and very smart)
  • WEEK 11: Fashion Designers using technology in their work (Week of 4/11/22)  Homework: Review web sites and videos
  • WEEK 12: Analyze Smart Textiles (Week of 4/25/22)  Homework: Discussion Board posting with two peer replies

Module 4

  • WEEK 13: Brainstorming for Business Idea (Week of 5/2/22)  Homework: Submit idea for your sustainable and/or Smart textile business concept. Outline the main points of your paper and presentation.
  • WEEK 14-15:  Work out the logistics of your Idea (Weeks of 5/9/22 and 5/16/22) Homework: Complete a rough draft and submit for review (optional); collect information for slide presentation
  • Final materials due (5/20/22) Homework: Complete and submit  paper and slide presentation of your idea for a theoretical funding source
