Please be aware that some of you have posted reflections on the discussion board rather than the blog site. When you log in to Openlab and click on the course, you are looking at the “PROFILE” page of the site, where you see a menu list showing members and discussion. Please do not use this part of the site for the reflections. Instead, click on the button “Visit Course Site” in the upper right side of the profile page. This will take you to the course openlab website, which looks like the attached image below. Make a new post using + button on top of the website window.
Let me know if you have problems with this navigation and I will help you in class next week.

Good reflections everyone!
I view concept maps as useful ways to graphically communicate how we understand something, how we see the relationships between facts, concepts, ideas, properties….
The course concept map provides an armature of how I see the material of the course relating, and hopefully it helps you develop your own mental map of the concepts we will be discussing all semester.
Today in class we will work through the first reading content, and as we read we will work to build our own concept maps as a form of both active reading but also useful note-taking that can help deepen our understanding of the concepts we read.
