Prof. Goodlad Leads students through an introduction to fermented beverages throughout the world. Study of beverage making and tasting procedures including jargon particular to the beverage trade is reinforced.
Foundations of Culinary Arts
SUSTAINABILITY IN HOSPITALITY – This learning community will introduce the 21st Century relevance of sustainability in the hospitality industry and incorporating the concept connecting the various foundations taught in these two introductory management classes. Connections will be made as students investigate their career options and widen their scope of industry knowledge. Students will learn how to establish a professional electronic profile and simulate a career exploration search.
This course is intended to give you a strong foundation in the writing skills that you will need to succeed in college. You will learn to approach reading a variety of texts with a critical eye, studying the strategies, techniques and forms that other writers use so that you might employ them in your own academic essays.

My Clubs
The mission of the Ambassadors Club is to provide opportunities for student officers to learn and hone leadership skills, with an emphasis on event planning and event management. The Club will apply the skills they have acquired, and act as good will ambassadors for the college and the HMGT department. The Ambassadors will assist in the planning of, and be present at, selected events sponsored by the HMGT Department, with the intent of fostering and supporting a welcoming and professional environment.
