Bio

My goals for my academic career at New York City College of Technology are to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design and to take courses related to web design, graphic design, and art in order to broaden my abilities and knowledge. I’ve taken courses such as Visual Communications and Graphics, Drawing 1, Design 1, Web Design, Digital Photography, and Pre-Gothic Art History at SUNY Orange. In high school I participated in classes such as Foundation in Media Arts, Advanced Computer Graphics, and Intro to Fashion Design. I can use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver software to create various artworks, as well as traditional media like charcoal, watercolor, pastels, etc.
Although I can’t name any specific sources which influenced my career choice in art and design, I can say that the variety of advertisements, billboards, posters, fashion illustrations, magazines, and other designs have inspired me to create art and share it. When I studied fashion, designers like Vera Wang and Alexander McQueen influenced many of my graphic designs because of their out-of-the-box creativity and color schematics. But the main reason I became interested in art was because it made me feel like I could bring people into the world I see with every design I illustrate.
