ENVC 1211 Heating Systems Laboratory
A laboratory course in which students learn how to work on oil burners, gas burners, steam and hydronic boilers, draft and combustion efficiency testing, boiler and burner safety and operating controls, reading controls wiring diagrams, and wiring electrical control components.
ENVC 2401 – Renewable and Hybrid Energy Systems
Students will learn the principles of renewable and alternative energy systems and their applicability in meeting the energy needs of residential, commercial, and institutional facilities. They will be able to evaluate and compare the overall efficacy of alternative systems and to optimize the design and operation of these systems by considering sustainability, energy consumption, economics, and reliability.
