Linda Paradiso is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and board certified nurse executive, advanced level. She is a three time CUNY graduate earning her AAS and BS in Nursing at College of Staten Island and MS in Psychiatric Nursing at Hunter College. She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, Nurse Executive from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She has more than thirty years of psychiatric nursing and leadership experience in acute care hospital organizations. She joined the faculty of NYCCT in the fall of 2015. She is passionate about helping nurses develop their voices for advocacy and safety, their personal leadership skills, and erasing the stigma of mental illness. Her research interests include the relationship between trust, just culture and patient safety, and speaking up. In her few free moments she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting Disney World (where her daughter works), walking tours of NYC, and listening to podcasts and books.

Every nurse is a leader, regardless of title or position within an organization. In this course you will learn to develop your voice and skills in order to lead teams of people who care for persons in need of any type of medical care.
