COMD1112 DIGITAL MEDIA FOUNDATIONS FALL 2021 – Valeria Trucchia

This course introduces students to core concepts in the media field including color theory, design and production terminology, reproduction processes, file formats and substrates. During the semester, students will complete pages of their own ePortfolio web site, a print design project and one video project. Lectures will provide students with a historical perspective of the media field as well as discussing current practices and future trends.

A study of the basic materials of construction as well as the theory and practice of building technology. The course will include investigation of the assembly of building components and methods of construction while developing proficiency in both analog and digital drawing techniques, and professional level construction drawing. Prerequisite: ARCH 1130 with a grade of C or higher or ARCH 1231 with a grade of C or higher; Pre- or corequisites: ARCH 1112 and MAT 1275 or higher Equivalent to old course ARCH 1230

Each semester students and club members’ gain valuable knowledge from speakers who are invited to come and share their architectural experiences with the club. However, class lectures are no substitute for the personal, eye opening experiences that a field trip can bring.
