Leah’s Profile
Hello! My name is Leah Hall and I am majoring in Human Services at New York City College of Technology. The reason I chose this profession is not directly associated with any particular situation in my life but more so of the things that I have witnessed growing up. Aside from Human Services, Criminal Justice has also been an interest of mine. I have seen how some people in society disowns people who have been incarcerated or people that seems troubled instead of trying to get to the root of their problem and help them. That is a job that I would like to take on. I believe that I have the skills to acheive success in this profession: I am emotionally mature, responsible, and dedicated to solving issues. For me it is not all about the money; changing lives is the greatest outcome!

ARTH 1103 Survey of Art History
A History of Art and Architecture from the Prehistoric Era to the Present
HUS 4801 provides students with a professionally supervised work experience in a human service agency. On campus weekly classroom seminars assess students’ progress towards learning objectives, explore student’s concerns and professional practice issues. The development of responsible and appropriate problem solving techniques is emphasized. During the semester there is a shift away from direct practice to areas of supervision administration, needs assessment, elementary program evaluation and resource development.
