My Courses
This course will examine urban tourism as a vehicle of urban renewal and economic regeneration. The roles of government, business, and the community will be explored as well as issues of development, management, the environment and social equity. New York City and Brooklyn will be evaluated as models for the development, challenges and opportunities of urban tourism.
With New York City as a world food culture laboratory, students will explore the concept of culinary tourism and its economic impact on the tourism industry. Students will create, market and conduct their own NYC culinary walking tour. Students will co-create the Hospitality Management Departmentās NYC Culinary Guide to Restaurants and Food Shops on Open Lab.

Hospitality Services Marketing looks at the relationship among the various components of the hospitality industry and the markets it serves. This include the study of the corporate mission, goals, vision statement, company history, customer perception, environment and social factors as influences on profitability; techniques for analyzing business, strategy formation and implementation.
