Bio

Hello Everyone

My name is Kevin Dewitt and I am excited to be a student here at City Tech. I am a Navy veteran that proudly served our country for 6 years. But due to a few injuries sustained while in service I could no longer continue the same career I had while on active duty. My end goal is to have a career that makes me happy and content.

I chose the Communication Design program to help me learn the skills needed for me to become a graphic designer. At the moment I have a Associates degree in Commercial Photography from LaGuardia Community College that was achieved in 2014. I learned one side of design there and I am excited to learn the other sides to designing to make me a well rounded individual. I understand the very basics of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Bridge. I am not familiar with the rest of the Adobe programs and to be honest I am I bit nervous since we will be working with programs that I never experienced.

But on the bright side I welcome the change and i would like to one day produce great works as Milton Glaser. His creations such as the I ā™„ļøNY logoĀ© or DC COMICSĀ© logo are iconic and known around the world. It is very unfortunate Mr. Glaser is no longer with us but his designs are timeless and will be around forever. I am very happy to be here and I look forward to the challenges ahead.
