Jaylen McDonald’s Profile
My Courses
MAT 1375 Precalculus – Ghezzi – Spring 2019
This course is designed to prepare students for the study of Calculus. Topics include an in-depth study of functions such as polynomial functions, inverse functions, radical functions, rational functions, trigonometric functions, exponential and logarithmic functions; solving inequalities; elements of vectors and complex numbers; solving trigonometric equations and identities involving sum, double and half-angle formulas; Binomial Theorem; and progressions. A graphing calculator is required.
PHYS1433, General Physics I: Algebra Based, SP2019
Algebra-based course on basic concepts of mechanics. Topics include: kinematics (describing motions using position, velocity, acceleration), dynamics (how forces influence motion), describing motion using conserved quantities: energy and momentum, fluids, temperature, heat transfer.
EMT 1150 Electrical Circuits – Fall 2018
Sections: D372-LEC & D376-LEC Introduction to the basic principles of direct and alternating current circuits. Topics include linear and nonlinear passive components, transient response and phase relationships. Laboratory work is performed both in school and at home (using student-purchased kits). The use of the multi-meter, oscilloscope and frequency generator is introduced; computers are used for problem-solving.
