Bio

I hold a Bachelor degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in chemical engineering and received my PhD in chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science from Hunter College, CUNY. My PhD work focused on the design and synthesis of porphyrinoid dyes as components of nanostructured materials, such as ultrathin films for photonics, self-organized layers, and hybrid materials.
My postdoctoral training was in radiochemistry lab at Hunter College, where I worked on the development of photochemical approaches for environmental waste remediation of the radioactive contaminant Technetium-99.
Currently, I work as an assistant professor at the Chemistry Department at New York City College of Technology.
