ARTH 1102 History of Art: Renaissance to Modern
Survey of Western Art from 1300 to the Present
Wines of the New World, Fall 2014
This course provides an in-depth evaluation of “New World” viticulture and vinification. Wine making methods, service, laws and regulations of the major wine regions of North America, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and South Africa will be studied. Students will taste and evaluate wines. Supported by a grant from the Julia Child Foundation, student will make wine at Red Hook Winery. Prerequisite: HMGT 2402
English Composition II (Partially Online)
This course will offer students the chance to improve their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Students enrolled in the course will be required to read and respond to texts that serve as models for compositions that serve specific rhetorical and professional purposes; to develop an effective writing process; to conduct basic academic research; to format documents; and to practice the dynamics of group work.
