Information Technology and Design in Web Development and Architectural Design In Construction Management
My name is Florence F Litchmore-Smith, a returning student both to college in preparation to return to the work force. I was a permanent employee in the New York City public sector: The Comptroller Office / Law and Adjustment / Information Business Facility (IBF) from 1988 through 1989. Moving along in career advancements to the New York City Department of Correction / Information Technology Help Desk, as a Computer Associate Operations Civil Servant worker. Year 2013, in the month of August; I got terminated from my employment (no one likes to talk about). Due to my political endeavors and career ladder intention, surrounding my dad “only care taker”. I was terminated for lateness instead of being embodied around family leave of absence (this is how politics work). I have no regrets of being the only care-taker for my dad; who made his exit September 2015. Therefore, i now pickup the pieces; return to college as a Communication Design student. Hoping to attain new knowledge in the field of Computer Technology and Communication Design. I am self employed and is a journey in life’s path. The intention of returning to college is to gain new knowledge for all we like to do is having money to meet our daily endeavors. I have participated in the New York City Technical College /New York City College of Technology Research Foundation Architectural Technology Internship program (Researching Building Facades in New York City, Spring 2029) ; and Information Technology Internship (Google Education in the Board of Education Spring 2020) . My goal is to accomplish new skills in Information Technology and Communication Design in the new-work world.
My Courses
COMD2400 Communication Design II, FA2020
In this course, students learn to refine their conceptual thinking, and the ability to apply design concepts across various media channels. This course challenges students to think and strategically apply campaign ideas. At this stage, students choose a media placement and incorporate it into the solution. The course also introduces the collaborative relationship between Art Director and Copywriter. Student teams brainstorm, develop copy, art direct and pitch ideas in teams. Students will explore the dialogue between products and services and how to communicate their benefits and features to the intended target. Project-based assignments from concept through final digital output are an integral part of the course.
COMD1123 Foundation Drawing FA2018 Tues
This drawing course introduces basic concepts, tools, techniques and the role of drawing in design, illustration, animation and games. The course will also cover projection systems, plans, elevations, sections, oblique, isometric, one-point perspective and two-point perspective views.
