An ex­am­i­na­tion of the con­cepts and clas­si­fi­ca­tions used in and about legal sys­tems; prob­lems of legal rea­son­ing and ju­di­cial de­ci­sion-mak­ing; and the eval­u­a­tion of philo­soph­i­cal and legal ar­gu­ments in the areas of jus­tice, lib­erty and re­spon­si­bil­ity on such is­sues as civil dis­obe­di­ence, cap­i­tal pun­ish­ment, cen­sor­ship and pornog­ra­phy, re­verse dis­crim­i­na­tion, the­ory of torts and con­tracts.

Health and Safety in Pro­duc­tion

A Sur­vey of haz­ards specif­i­cally as­so­ci­ated with work­ing in the­aters and fab­ri­ca­tion shops. Top­ics in­clude chem­i­cals in pig­ments and poly­mer plas­tics, va­pors, fumes and ven­ti­la­tion; shop con­di­tions; proper prepa­ra­tion and plan­ning, cur­rent OSHA and EPA stan­dards; haz­ards as­so­ci­ated with weld­ing and fire codes.

Architecture Club

Ar­chi­tec­ture Club

For over 30 years the Ar­chi­tec­ture Club has been one of the most in­flu­en­tial clubs on City Tech’s cam­pus. Each se­mes­ter stu­dents and club mem­bers’ gain valu­able knowl­edge from speak­ers who are in­vited to come and share their ar­chi­tec­tural ex­pe­ri­ences with the club. How­ever, class lec­tures are no sub­sti­tute for the per­sonal, eye open­ing ex­pe­ri­ences that a field trip can bring.

City Tech’s Ink Club is a place where il­lus­tra­tors and se­quen­tial artists can dis­cuss and prac­tice their craft in sto­ry­telling. On Open­lab we’ll share links to help­ful re­sources, gen­eral in­for­ma­tion, and post about events ad work we’re cre­at­ing.

ACF Stu­dent Club

Amer­i­can Culi­nary Fed­er­a­tion (ACF) Stu­dent Club is ded­i­cated to shar­ing pro­fes­sional knowl­edge and skill with both mem­bers and non­mem­bers. Our mis­sion is to pro­vide op­por­tu­ni­ties that fur­ther the culi­nary ed­u­ca­tion and ex­pe­ri­ence of our stu­dents. We seek to sup­port life-long learn­ing, pro­fes­sional suc­cess, de­vel­op­ment of culi­nar­ian com­mu­nity and fu­tures. As a club we will or­ga­nize events to pro­mote culi­nary arts through demon­stra­tions, culi­nary com­pe­ti­tions and de­vel­op­ing in­dus­try con­nec­tions. To aid in this mis­sion we will do fundrais­ing and pro­vide vol­un­teers to sup­port achiev­ing these goals. The Club will be par­tic­i­pat­ing in com­mu­nity ser­vice events and hol­i­day meal prepa­ra­tion for com­mu­nity-based or­ga­ni­za­tions. We hope to make mean­ing­ful con­tri­bu­tions to the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try.

We are a de­sign club at New York City Col­lege of Tech­nol­ogy. We host Meet the Pros (face­book.com/meet­the­p­ros) speaker se­ries and we re­lease an an­nual de­sign mag­a­zine, Com­mand+J.
