HMGT1101_Perspectives in Hospitality Management_Fall 2022 – Prof. Dallis
Prof. Dallis guides students through an overview of the history, likely directions and organizational structure of the hospitality industry and its role in local, national and global economies. Students are introduced to the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, basic terminology, management concepts, career path explorations and the departmentās mission and culture.
This course focuses on the practical application of foundational culinary terminology and techniques used in a professional kitchen. Emphasis is on proper use of knives, equipment, and utensils in a safe and sanitary manner. Individual and team skills development; organization, timing, recipe structure, and flavoring are focuses in addition to the development of professional attitude and demeanor.

An intermediate and advanced algebra course. Topics include quadratic equations, systems of linear equations, exponential and logarithmic functions; topics from trigonometry, including identities, equations and solutions of triangles.
