The course explores the architectural process involved in designing small to medium size projects for specific building types. Coursework covers initial research and analysis, program development, flow diagrams, schematic design and massing studies, culminating in a final presentation of drawings and models to a jury of invited professors and professionals.

This seminar will concentrate on incorporating the general education outcome of Intercultural Knowledge and Competence into our courses focusing on Kuh’s High Impact Educational Practices, place based learning, open pedagogy and assessment practices.

This is a collaborative space for use by the Second Year Associate Fellows and mentors as they participate in the General Education Seminar, part of City Tech’s Title V grant-funded initiative A Living Laboratory.
The Second Year Associates will concentrate particularly on the second year of the student experience at our college, a critical year for our students that focuses on collaborative assignments and projects, and associate degree capstones.
