Structure of materials and their applications. Properties of materials, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, polymers, ceramics composites, adhesives and lubricants. Heat treatment, cold and hot working, phase diagrams and micro-structure. Experiments are performed on hardness, plastic deformation, annealing, nondestructive testing, metallurgy and computer problem-solving.
