I enjoy learning how to run, manage and make business deals.
This is my first year at city tech, I was a human service major at the beginning of the year but decided that wasn’t the path I wanted to take. The path of hospitality and tourism is the one that is most fitting for me because traveling and learning about hotels is what interest me the most.

HMGT1101-D402-23720 Spring 2023
Students are guided through an overview of the history, likely directions and organizational structure of the hospitality industry and its role in local, national and global economies. Students are introduced to the nature and scope of the hospitality industry, basic terminology, management concepts, career path explorations and the department’s mission and culture.
