Topics covered include descriptive statistics, sample spaces and probabilities, discrete probability distributions, expectation and variance, continuous probability distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, and correlation and linear regression. Spreadsheets are used throughout the semester.

Students also analyze readings in science and technology, study technical writing models, and practice collaborative research and presentation.
