My Courses
MAT1575 β Ganguli β Spring 2023
A continuation of Calculus I (MAT1475). Topics include integration (i.e. finding anti-derivatives and evaluating definite integrals) using integration by parts, trigonometric substitution, and the technique of partial fractions; and using integration to calculate volumes of solids of revolution, areas, and arc lengths.
In this course you will take skills you acquired in Eng 1101 to the next level. You will enter this class alone, and leave as a part of a vibrant and lively Writing Community. The work is rigorous, unusual, challenging β and fun. You wonβt look at language the same way again.
MAT1575 Calculus II Workshop, Winter 2023
This a pre-semester workshop and a continuation of MAT 1475. Topics include techniques of integration, but may include areas, volumes, and a reintroduction to convergent sequences and series and tests for convergence. Over the course of the semester, students will also learn Taylor polynomials, Mean Value Theorem, Taylor and Maclaurin series, improper integrals, and arclengths.
