Internship COMD 4900 Blog: Week 14 – Finals Week and Nearing the Internship’s End

Class Day: Dec 11th, 2024 (Zoom Meeting)
Log Keeping Days: Dec 11th – Dec 17th

On December 11th, my professor, Professor Goetz, gave me feedback on half of the slides I had for my Presentation during my Zoom call with her.

On my Internship hours, I made the video project file: “Membit Sizzle Reel 2024_v5”, went to Slack to upload v4.3 just to showcase the transitions that could be used in v5 and beyond.

I also took a few screenshots from the Membit Phone and exported them to my laptop along with messing with the app a bit more.

On December 12th, I worked a bit before the meeting, which was: resuming editing on v5 of the Sizzle Reel, put a few more transitions as I still awaited the feedback.

I got feedback on v4.3 during the meeting, use the simpler transitions and for feedback on v5, I had to make a clip shorter, cut one of the clips that was more or less a duplicate, edit to the music (and insert it) so I can time to beat of it. Also my timesheet will be signed all at once at the end of my Internship as well (I had asked if he could sign it after I fixed an issue but he proposed when I’m finished).

On December 14th, I worked two sessions since I meant to work one yesterday, so here we go!

Session 1: Opened v5 back up to edit and as I give it v4.3’s edits that were approved, I decided to save it as v5.2 so I can sooner put in the newer clips between the old. I feel like I should end the reel with the Paper Cranes due to how pretty they are, and totally not my bias for Paper Mario: The Origami King talking, nooooo, not at alllll, pfft. Also I have to remember to add the wedding segment to this somehow.

Session 2: Got the music used in the previous version of the reel, put it in the file and started modifying the remains of v5, so v5.2 can start having clips timed to the music. (I notice how it’s a bit tricky to while showcasing the clips decently but I’ll try my best!)

On December 16th, did an hour of video editing work before class and then two more hours after class. Uploaded v5.2 for feedback and made a v5.3 just in case as I look at more footage to potentially put together.
