I’m Elizabeth Alsop, a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature and Film Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center, and an Instructional Technology Fellow at New York City College of Technology. I’ve also taught world literature and film at Hunter College and Queens College, and worked in the Writing Across the Curriculum Program at York College.
The result? I’m curious about a whole mess of topics related to technology and pedagogy, some of which I hope to think about on this blog. My intellectual antennae swivel especially in the direction of open-source tools for teaching; new media, old media, and social media; e-books, e-reading, and e-writing; the digital humanities, and whether/why the humanities matter, anyway. But I try to be an indiscriminate learner.
