The audience is hooked in by using absurd sounding quotes to get us invested in the argument the speaker makes. The author also uses her own personal experience as part of the storytelling right after the introduction to get us invested. There are various visuals throughout the value which are colorful or video clips are people being racist or experiencing racism. The visuals help to share how wrongly treated asian people were during the pandemic. This in turn adds onto the research of how asian people were being discriminated against by physically showing it. Sections of the video were voiced over to add the authors perspective and thoughts on the issue making it mor eimpactful. The intended audience is everyone who is ignorant about the various and wrongly blame Chinese people. The message is that everyone should be empathetic and stop being racist towards Chinese people, and being racist in general. The video is 3 minutes and 42 seconds long. I’ll be trying to emulate the format of this video as I like the way it was presented.
