I really liked how she started the story by describing what the time. Doing that set a mood for me right from the beginning.
I like how she wrote everything in the story out. While I was reading the story it painted a picture in my head as if I was there experiencing the whole thing.
I like how she transitioned a lot from place to place. For example she talked about the new girl but then went to talking about how she missed her old friends and her old school.
