Intro – Martin

Hi, my name is Martin but I prefer to be called by my middle name Andrew. I’ve decided to take up marketing here at City Tech to learn how to promote myself and my work for the future. Both of my parents were born here in New York City but their parents were born in the Dominican Republic and then later on immigrated to New York City.

I believe I am a calm and understanding person who tries my best to be there for friends and family. Valuing and maintaining relationships between my friends and family is extremely important to me. I think them being able to rely on me is just as important as me being able to rely on them.

Some of my greatest strengths and qualities are that I strive to do things to the best of my ability as well as trying to view things from a positive outlook. I consider a weakness of mine to be that sometimes I let responsibilities of mine like school stress me out. While I’m trying to manage this I still find it difficult at times to not let these responsibilities get the better of me. In my free time, I like to play video games, spend time with friends and family as well as box with my father. What drives me to achieve my goals is doing what’s best for me but also making my family proud. I’m excited to see what’s in store for me here at City Tech.

  1. Hi Andrew — thx for letting me know about your middle name preference. I am curious to know what do you plan to sell? I imagine with a marketing emphasis you are a future entrepreneur. Also I love that you are an optimist. People who can put a positive spin on life do live longer! Good for you.

What do you like about the sport of boxing? I am curious because one of my sons recently took up boxing and I was not too happy about that. I just know it is violent. What are the positives of this sport? I hope you can tell me!

  2. Andrew: Would you mind if I ask you to use Andrew Caraballo as your open lab user name? This way I won’t confuse you with another Andrew in our class, Andrew Zontonas.

    Thx.
