Assignment # 7 was to create an executive summary. I used a situation that I experienced on the job this past fall. I needed to create a report convincing a government agency to perform maintenance on equipment that is critical to there operation during a major disaster. They did not want to spend the money on maintenance.

Assignment # 5 was a very interesting one, we were instructed to write a letter on behalf of the college president to employers in our chosen fields of study requesting their participation in the City Tech internship program.

Assignment # 6 we were to find a problem and make an argument on why, how and the cost of the solutions. At my Job we have great difficulties find and retaining fire wardens.
The Lorem Ipsum Letter was an exercise in typical business letter writing format. Personally I thought is was a fun exercise, for me it felt more like a modern.

Assignment # 2 was to rewrite a very poorly written memo from an employer to his Employees. We need to get the same message across and be politically correct at the same time. I did enjoy this assignment since I had work for a someone very similar at one time.
Assignment # 3 was to address a customer service issue. We needed to respond to a complaint from a very loyal customer about service changes he did not like. This person was not only a customer but a common stock holder which requires another level of respect.
Assignment # 4 we needed to create a memo to existing part time employees explaining that they would no longer be compensated for the serving on committies and attending meetings, but still encourage this practice to continue. I thought it was interesting, but not a very realistic situation.
