Learning Self-Analysis for the Program

At this Baccalaureate degree in Nursing Program, I have grown in many ways, educationally.  I had the great experience learning about what are the important aspects of Nursing, such as being aware of nursing management, culture, case management, community nursing, urban nursing, and professional nursing.  This experience has broaden my scope of health care, looking at my patients on a continuum and being more focused on their healthy positive transitions in health care.  The most valuable experience I had was working with the children in the Amachi/ Children of Promise mentorship program, orchestrated by Professor Falk and Professor Scott.  Working with those children who have incarcerated parents helped me to be a better listener and observer in my community.  It helped me also to reflect on myself and what I need to do to be more responsible, advocate, and be more supportive to the community.
