Coney Island Hospital Summer Internship

I completed a 280 hours internship(sponsored by the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women Scholarship)during the summer of 2014. I worked as a dental hygiene student intern under the direct supervision of licensed dentists and registered dental hygienists in the hospital setting. My responsibilities included prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, periodontal charting, fluoride treatment, exposing digital full-mouth/periapical and bitewing radiographs, and providing oral hygiene instructions to adult and pediatric patients.
