Hello class,
This is a reminder that our 2nd test will be on Wednesday, July 26th at the beginning of class. Be sure to bring a proper TI-84 calculator.
I know I promised that I was going to put a regression line and/or an organizing data question on my test 2. However, it seems that I might have to drop that idea for this test. Do keep them in mind, because they will be on Test 3 and Test 3 will look like the Final for the most part. Remember, I will grade that test like it was your final.
In summary, your tests will include
- Probabilities, Rules
- Counting Principles (factorial, permutation, combinations, etc.)
- Hypergeometric Probability
- Binomial Probability
- Area Underneath the Normal Distribution curve.
The following questions should be studied:
- Final Exam Review #5-11
- https://www.citytech.cuny.edu/mathematics/docs/review/MAT1272FinalReview.pdf
- Note: While the final exam review does have material that requires the area underneath the normal curve, those questions are applications of the normal curve to real scenarios, and we won’t have time to teach those in class before the test.
- WileyPlus
- All of Chapter 4, 5, and 6.1
