Problem 2- A road or rail line could be intended for missile transport because the relative size is helpful in identifying objects, and mensuration, the absolute measure of size is extremely useful in extracting information from imagery. Figure 1.4 in chapter illustrates that the orientation of the Hen House radar is associated with its primary role of watching the horizon for ballistic missiles.

Standard deviation σ =  =  = 71.46

Difference of highest DN and Mean = 250 -0.61 = 249.39

Distance between the target and background = 249.39/71.46 =3.48
