Welcome!

Hello, my name is Kristina Walsh. When I graduated high school, I worked at CVS Pharmacy for 3 years because I wanted to become a pharmacist. However, I knew that it was not the right choice for me. I applied to the dental hygiene program at City Tech and started working as a dental assistant at a pediatric dental office. Since I started working, my love for the dental field grew. As a child, I was constantly in a dental office because my mother is a dental hygienist. I am beyond grateful that I am following in her footsteps!

By working as a dental assistant and treating my own patients in clinic, I have gained so much experience. From working with children with developmental disabilities to geriatric patients with extensive medical conditions, I have deepened my skills as an oral healthcare provider. I am very grateful for the knowledge I have gained, and I am confident in applying my skills when I become a registered dental hygienist. I would not be who I am today without the love and support from my family, friends, and instructors who have pushed me to work hard and accomplish my dreams. This page will give you a brief glance at my experience in the dental hygiene program.
