Great smiles

I am 23 years old and I’m originally from  Ecuador. I arrived to the United States with my family in 2007 to achieve the American dream.  I was only 12 years old and did not speak or write the English language.  My difficult and rewarding journey of learning the English language was very challenging but not impossible. I went to middle school starting in 7th grade and against all odds proudly graduated as a Salutatorian of my graduating class.  My hard work and determination to become successful in America was clearly  demonstrated by my academics achievements. Having this opportunity was my first big accomplishment and my parents were very proud of me. My desired to continue to achieve academic excellence continued.  I graduated from high school with an advanced regents diploma and this is when I decided to go college and pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. Here I am today many years form when I first step foot into this country as a shy little girl,  about to graduate and start my career as a Dental Hygienist.
