Hello, my name is Kimberly, and I’m a freshman at City Tech, pursuing a major in Communication Design. This is my first year in college, and I’m excited to have a great college experience. I decided to major in communication design because when I was in High School, I became part of the student government. I was in charge of designing advertisements and posters for the school events. Since then, I noticed my interest in this field and more since I have always been interested in the arts like dancing, drawing, and music. I like to listen to any music no matter the language because I think that music is a universal and exciting way to learn culture and language.
I can speak Spanish fluently because I lived most of my life in Mexico. Based on this, I want to learn at least one more language and travel around the world. I believe that being a graphic design is a way to express myself and be creative. My academic goals in City Tech is to grow as a person with ethics and professionalism. I want to learn as much as I can about communication design and develop my skills to be prepared for the world that is out there. Finally, I want to express my plan to the world and transmit my message and be an inspiration.
