I saw your post about the current opening for a school Registered Nurse, so I am taking this opportunity to say that I am very interested in the position.  I graduated New York City College of Technology in January 2010 with an associate’s degree in Registered Nursing. I am currently enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation in December of 2012.

 

I have experience as a flu shot nurse. I assess the patients before and after immunization administration. I document and provide patient education about the influenza virus. I also have training in the hospital and clinical settings from nursing school. During my clinical classes, I was able to see hands on the role of the registered nurse.  I acquired strong leadership and interpersonal skills. I am now able to think quickly on my feet in emergencies, and in those situations requiring quick assessment of many factors in order to make appropriate decisions. I am punctual, energetic and hardworking with the ability to adapt the environment very easily. I have excellent communication and listening skills and speak fluent Spanish.
