Courses Description/ Overview:
This course covers current color, fiber, and fashion trends and their impact on sales forecasting. Students will research and analyze fashion forecasts relating to specific seasons in the apparel industry. It will learn how to forecast future trends in color, fabric, silhouettes, and textures and incorporate their findings into a specific trend forecast and correlating merchandising plan, including mood boards, flat sketches, and spec details. Additionally, the outcome learning will develop the concepts into a format that can be understood by pattern makers and other producers at the primary level of fashion.
