Throughout my journey filming my culmination project, I have discovered many hidden challenging obstacles that put my knowledge and skillsets to the test. Although, my project didn’t come out the way I imagined I am well aware of what should be done next time. I’ve learned that preparation is vital to a productive and well efficient shoot. I also learned that it is important to add in factors (time and money) for trial and error that which directly affected my Schedule and Budget.
Another lesson I have learned was to always have a helping hang on set. My intentions entering this project was to shoot this documentary in a ‘one-man-band’ fashion where I would shoot, boom, and edit by myself. I can tell you this much that it dit not work out as expected. Thankfully, a friend of mine, Oswaldo ( an audio major) was there to assist me when it came time to record and mix the audio. My experience with this project surely raised my standards and disciplined my procrastinating behavior.
